Aim: Studio 14 started one afternoon when I was bored in lockdown during the Coronavirus Pandemic in April. I stared making crafts and spending my time coming up with ideas on how I could re-purpose objects I have at home to make them more aesthetic. I even started re-using materials I had lying around the house such as cereal boxes and curtain rings to create new and refined pieces of craft/decoration. I started sending pictures of what I was up to, to my family and they all asked me to make them some DIY craft decorations. I started making them everyday and really enjoyed it. Studio 14 was born, I wanted to carry on doing this as a hobby and create a small business selling my household decorations I had made.
Next Steps: Studio 14 is very much still in the works and in the refinement stages. I am going to carry on making my country style home decorations and photographing them in aesthetic ways to promote them on social media, like Instagram. I want to create a brand image which is happy, welcoming and warm by showing my consumers my products in ways where they are already in place, to show them how it can transform a place from a house into a home. I want to create my own way of packaging my products using branding, for example stickers, business cards, tissue paper and even a way of sending a personalised 'Thank You' to every customer.
